Milano Favorites on the Ukulele (Books 1 to 6)

In the introductory section “Why does this music sound so nice on the ukulele?”, the first sentence references a “vihuela”. This is incorrect.  It should say “lute or lauto” which matches the illustration at the bottom of that page.

Arcadelt Favorites on the Ukulele

Two of the pieces were arranged with the wrong notes for the 4th or lowest sounding string, which should be re-tuned down to F on a soprano/concert/tenor ukulele or down to C on a baritone ukulele or classical guitar. Here are the revised pieces in PDF format …

Morlaye Favorites on the Ukulele (Book 1) & Ancient Music for Ukulele

For “Buffons”, bar 29 shows the last note in the bar as an A on the first string.  It should be E on the second string.  In fact, bar 29 should be identical to bar 25 on the line above it.  Since both A and E are in the same chord and a fifth apart, the note does not sound incorrect.

Gorlier Favorites on the Ukulele

For “Je n’ay point plus d’affection”, bar 14 is incorrect.  There is a printing error in the original folio showing the opening chord to be C-F#-C, which sounds dissonant at that point.  The printing error is that the d-c-a (French tab for 3-2-0) is printed one string too high. The opening chord should be G-D-G (same as bar 1 or the opening chord for bar 16).  Here’s a revised score in PDF …
